On the heels of 600% sales growth in January, the Pacific Northwest’s #1 Craft Brand is releasing two new rosé flavors to the marketplace SEATTLE, WA – (February 1st, 2020) – The Pacific Northwest’s San Juan Seltzer is excited to announce the release of their Dry Rosé and Peach Rosé flavors. Originally available only at the San Juan Seltzery Taproom, Kitchen & Bar, San Juan Seltzer has now made these popular flavors available to retailers, restaurants and other venues throughout the Pacific Northwest in a 12-pack Pacific Northwest rosé Variety Pack and a 6- pack peach rosé. In stores starting February 1, 2020.
“The Peach Rosé is fresh and lively, with a slightly floral peach aroma that is remarkably true-to-life and blends seamlessly with mellow notes of Merlot wine. The crisp finish makes it especially refreshing,” says Frank Commanday, the research and development director of the new flavors. “The Dry Rosé is bright, with a honeysuckle aroma, reminiscent of its bone-dry Riesling inspiration. It is complex, subtle, and super sensational. We think Rosé lovers will really enjoy these beautifully captured seltzer tributes to our Pacific Northwest wine country.”
“We are proud to service our customer and consumer requests for zero sugar and zero carb products that reflect the delicious flavors of the Pacific Northwest. We are also thrilled to be launching the industry’s first and only Dry Rosé flavor,” says San Juan Seltzer’s President and CEO, Ron Lloyd. “It is flat out the most delicious and cleanest finishing spiked seltzer I have tasted to date. It will be fun to watch how consumers respond to them.”
Unlike other brands which are made at a brewery, distillery, cidery or winery, San Juan Seltzer is made at the nation’s only production SeltzeryTM. It is there that the company developed a proprietary 6-step filtration process which still today is only known to a select few employees. This “secret” process, along with small batches and slower/longer fermentation times have been key components to their success.
San Juan Seltzer converted the second oldest brewery (previously known as Schooner Exact Brewery) in the Sodo neighborhood of Seattle to create its Seltzery. The seltzery has a 20-barrel fermentation room, a filling line that can produce about 40,000 barrels of spiked seltzer, and a packaging line that can handle 80,000 barrels. As of August 2019, San Juan Seltzer was already using nearly 100% of the fermentation capacity of the new Seltzery, with plans in place to quadruple its fermentation capacity this winter to meet demands. The company grew 600% in January, well exceeding their already aggressive 200% growth goals.
San Juan Seltzer, Inc. unveiled their San Juan SeltzeryTM to the public last Fall whereby consumers can purchase unique Seltzery-only flavors such as Oregon Pear, Cucumber Mint, Strawberry, and Watermelon. The San Juan Seltzery Taproom, Kitchen & Bar was opened in partnership with Ethan Stowell Restaurants, with a Pacific Northwest inspired menu curated to pair with San Juan Seltzer. Located in the heart of Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood and opened in 2018, SeltzeryTM is the first and only branded SeltzeryTM production facility in the nation.
